Friday Favorites: From Freaks and Geeks to Haute Couture

Hello!! This week's favorites came together pretty organically and I think this week's might be my favorite favorites so far! Holla!

Enjoy!

Number 10: Polaroid Cameras

Who doesn't love an instant pic?! I recently got a vintage polaroid and I absolutely LOVE it! They're pretty expensive if you go the vintage route.. but Fujifilm makes these awesome little polaroids that are just as great! I'm planning on getting one because even though the old cameras are super fun to use, they're so dated that it costs a fortune just to take one picture. The new polaroids are so much more accessible too and you can get film at most stores like Walmart or Target!

Number 9: Freaks and Geeks

First off: This is the most GIF-able television show to ever exist. Not to mention it includes fetus James Franco, Jason Segel, and Seth Rogen and all eighteen episodes are on Netflix!! Yes, that's right! You can binge watch this masterpiece in a day. It's one of the funniest shows and it's a serious depiction of how much high school and growing up sucks. Unfortunately, it got cancelled after the first season.. NO ONE KNOWS WHY. It's such a great show! Anyway, here's what BuzzFeed has to say about it.

You will fall in love with this goon. 100% guaranteed.

Number 8: ADDIE

THIS GIRL. She's so talented and I really think she's the next big thing! Her name is Addie Hamilton and she's only 17!! She sings the most incredible rendition of "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, it's definitely worth a listen! Also, she has a video of her singing "Fever" which is equally as amazing. She needs to get on one of these reality TV shows so she can get her career on the move! She's going places!

Number 7: Jeffery Campbell's Scully Heels

I never thought I would like these shoes.. never mind own them in a thousand years.. but I have a confession.. I bought them and I have no buyer's remorse.. here's why: THEY WERE TWENTY DOLLARS. That's right. $20 originally $160. Here's the deal: This literally never happens to me.. I rarely find these amazing deals but one Sunday I was in Boston with my best friend, Cameron, in Urban Outfitters and pure magic happened. We saw these shoes and laughed SO hard but he insisted that I try them on. We fell in LOVE. I haven't worn them out yet, but in them about 5' 9" - 5' 10". A little intimidating but it rocks. BTW Alexa Losey (the girl under the Chanel sign) works these like no one else.

Number 6: Cool Bras... no other way to put it..

I don't really know what to say about these but they're absolutely beautiful and I want nothing more than to own a wardrobe full of them.  Below is one I just bought at H&M. I'm obsessed.

Number 5: frankie

frankie is one of my favorite magazines beside i-D and Company and it's honestly just so cool. frankie is an Australian publication.. so of course it's amazing and it has stories that you won't find in any other magazine. It's really down to earth and funky and I think that's why it has so many readers worldwide. They have a great website as well and you can order a subscription there! Check it out

Number 4: Patches

I want to own hundreds of these and cover every thing I own in them. They are so sassy and flawless. I'm genuinely annoyed that I don't own any.. So.. if anyone knows where I can get these or if there's a tutorial on how to make them.. let me know! I'm sure Rookie has a DIY somewhere!

Number 3: CHANEL Haute Couture Spring 2014

EVERYTHING WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. Of course, Ms. Cara Delevingne was the big star of the show and of course that made it ten times better. The gorgeous gowns and two-pieces paired with sneakers created a glorious contrast and Karl Lagerfeld had everyone's chins on the floor. We could also talk about how fab the makeup was. Seriously ingenious. One of my favorite fashion shows.

Number 2: WATERMELONS

Enough said. They rock.

Number 1: My Prom Dress

Ahhh I love it so much! This is an Elie Saab gown that walked the runway in 2014.. soo clearly I won't be wearing the designer dress, but there are a lot of people who remake these dresses, custom online! It's kind of scary ordering a dress that you're not going to be able to try on until it's done, but it's important to take risks to get the things you want! It's pretty inexpensive and will only be about $150 for the dress and if I need it tailored it will be a little over $200. It's better than spending $500+! Leave the big bucks for your wedding day!

;)

Hope you liked the favorites this week!! Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you make the best of it even if you're flying solo!!

Much love! <3
