Friday Favorites: From Atlas Tapestries to Michael Cera

yoyoyo got some cool stuff to share this week!! So get pumped! Also, Spring is here and so are awesome concerts and music festivals! So you better believe that I'm going to cover all of that good stuff on here. So WATCH THIS SPACE. lol. Legit though, got some sick stuff planned so keep an ear open!

Here are my faves, yo.

10. Banana Shirt

How cool is this shirt?! It's giving me the whole Andy Warhol vibe and I'm seriously loving it. I honestly have NO idea where it's from but I've seen banana shirts at multiple stores.. so they're not totally impossible to find. Awesome shirt to pair with black skinnies and docs for a little pop of color.

9. Obama finds Waldo.. what.

Another Tumblr genius has come to the rescue. I didn't even know I wanted this more that life itself until I found it. Loving it more than my future husband and children. Straight up.. how SICK is this?! I honestly laughed for ten minutes when I first discovered it.

8. Atlas Tapestry

Loving this tapestry. Loving it so much that I already bought it for my dorm room next year. Honestly living for this tapestry and how chill it's going to make my dorm room.

7. Bad Roots = Good Braids

This hair is literally insane. It's what some may call "soft grunge" and it's just checking off all of the boxes for what's necessary for awesome hair. I want this hair once in my life.

6.  Summer Shoes

These Australian shoes, which are considered normal and casual footwear, are the epitome of damn good shoes. The cleaty soles are really in right now and the bright colors will be an awesome addition to any spring/summer outfit.

5.  More eye nails

I know I've posted eye nails before but these were too sweet not to share. They're a little different from Alexa Chung's eye nails, but equally as disturbing and beauteous. On vacation this week, so I'm definitely trying them!

4. ZARA Eyezz

More eyes, I know. How can you not be in love with eye print everything?? Just keeping it real and expressing my love for this dress. It's kind of shifty and turtle neck-y, so it has to be paired with simple accessories but it's absolutely gorgeous.

3. MICHAELCERA

I'm actually surprised that I don't have an entire blog dedicated to him yet.. He's my star. Just look at him. I live for him on Arrested Development and he's honestly one of my favorite human beings ever. I just want posters of him all over my dorm and to be his best friend. Too much to ask?? .. I don't think so.

2. No Angels // Bastille ft. Ella

One of the best mashups of all time. This musical GENIUS took Bastille's and Ella's covers of TLC's "No Scrubs" and mixed them together. Not only did he do that, he also laced dialogue from Pyscho (1960) into the song. It's so haunting and beautiful... hauntingly beautiful, you might say. Have a listen below!

1. THIS dress

So obviously there's nothing that Alexa Chung can't pull off.. but this dress is just an absolute standout from her wardrobe. It has the whole vintage vibe going on and the fit and flair silhouette adds a little whimsy that totally fits the look. Paired with a simple pump and a costume jewelry earring and the outfit is complete.

Hope you liked this week's goodies!

I usually try to end these things with some inspirational or reassuring post.. so I thought that this quote from Tavi Gevinson was important to share:

"My goofiest-sounding secret is that I also believe in magic. Sometimes I call it God and sometimes I call it light, and I believe in it because every now and then I read a really good book or hear a really good song or have a really good conversation with a friend and they seem to have some kind of shine to them. The list I keep of these moments in the back of my journal is comprised less of times when I was laughing or smiling and more of times when I felt like I could feel the colors in my eyes deepening from the display before me. Times in which I felt I was witnessing an all-encompassing representation of life driven by an understanding that, coincidence or not, our existence is a peculiar thing, and perhaps the greatest way to honor it is to just be human. To be happy AND sad, and everything else. And yeah, living is a pain, and I say I hate everyone and everything, and I don’t exude much enthusiasm when sandwiched between fluorescent lighting and vinyl flooring for seven hours straight, and I will probably mumble a bunch about how much I wish I could sleep forever the next time I have to wake up at 6 AM. But make no mistake about it: I really do like living. I really, truly do."

So on an even more serious and inspirational note:

Much love! <3

  1. Did you know the word karaoke is Japanese for empty orchestra? Isn't that hauntingly beautiful?
